EMDR

EMDR is an abbreviation for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a psychotherapeutic technique which helps to reduce the impact of past experiences that trouble you in present- day life. Often these experiences involve a trauma eg., an accident, natural disaster, past abuse or assault. The trauma may have happened long ago or recently but you still feel its negative impact in your day to day life through nightmares, anxiety, low self-esteem, and troubling memories. EMDR is also used to help people deal with anxiety and panic, grief and other conditions where strong emotions are associated.
